How to Wash a Kitten

Kittens love to frolic and occasionally get dirty, but are they too young for a bath? We'll answer whether you can wash your kitten and how in this article.

Do you need to bathe your kitten?

Our answer is yes! Getting your kitten used to baths will make it easier to clean them down the road. Kittens can clean themselves, but they'll be even cleaner with some human help.

At what age can you wash your kitten?

You can bathe your kitten at 8 weeks. Be sure to use a gentle pet shampoo that is formulated with kittens in mind.

How to bathe your kitten without water

Some kittens and cats don't like water, which is totally okay. There are other ways to keep your cat clean that don't involve water. It's formulated with natural catnip oil, which most kittens absolutely love. Catnip is safe for kittens. You can read more about catnip oil and kittens here.

Here's how to use our bath wipes:

1. Purchase a safe wipe to use on your kitten, preferably with a scent your kitten will like. Our wipes are infused with natural catnip oil, so your cat will enjoy it.

2. Wipe your kitten from head to tail.

3. Repeat as needed, using new wipes if the wipe has collected dirt or fur on it.

4. That's it!

It's an easy and calming process for your kitten. Plus, it's a great bonding activity between you and your kitten.
